AHR School Japan - Japanese Language Learning Resource

AHR Japan School channel is all about Japanese Language learning through discussing topics about Japan.  AHR Japan School produces videos about doing things in Japan, and Japanese conversation topics.  I would describe the channel as an upper beginner and intermediate level of Japanese.  The videos are entirely in Japanese with Japanese subtitles, and sometimes English subtitles as well.  I think that listening, and learning, in Japanese greatly enhances your understanding of the language.

Even though AHR Japan School hasn’t posted a video in more than a year, there are plenty of videos on the channel to help you practice and learn Japanese.  There are over 290 videos on the channel.  They first started with videos about easy conversations in Japanese, and then moved on to some grammar and vocabulary in the form of short sentences.  There are also a lot of videos about Japanese that you would use in a business setting, and polite Japanese.  The videos mainly feature the ‘star’ of the channel, Karen, who provides explanations of the topics of each video.  She and “Nomoto” have conversations about various topics, or situations, that will be useful to you as a Japanese learner.

Many of the videos are labeled with the level of Japanese used in the video; the N5 through N1 level system.  I would say the majority of the videos where they indicate the level are N3, and there are a few N4 and N5 level videos.  I don’t see any above the N3 level at this time. This is a very good channel to watch and learn Japanese.
