"ききみみ日本語" - Podcast for Japanese Language Learning

The "ききみみ日本語" Podcast for Japanese language learning is for intermediate and advanced Japanese language learners. Shunpei uses each podcast episode to focus on a single word or concept in Japanese.

The goal is to teach you everyday Japanese that may not be taught in textbooks. Or, at the very least, the real nuances of the meanings of these words are not taught in Japanese textbooks. Shunpei’s description of the podcast is that “this podcast teaches the Japanese you’ve probably heard or seen but have never been sure about how to use.” The podcast is entirely in Japanese, and Shunpei speaks at a nice pace that is not too fast for those learning Japanese. He also speaks very clearly, and is easy to understand.

Shunpei uses each episode of the “ききみみ日本語” podcast to focus on a single Japanese word or grammar concept. He discusses many different words/topics like: domo (どうも), tekkiri (〜てっきり), okashii (おかしい), tekito (てきと), and many more. Given the topics and structure of the podcast, most episodes last an average of 5 to 10 minutes in length. Shunpei began releasing episodes of the podcast in June of 2020, and he has released 100 episodes so far. However, the last episode that he released was in September of 2021. I think this podcast is still worth listening to, and you can learn a lot of new things about the Japanese language.

Shunpei also has a website for the “ききみみ日本語” podcast where he has posted transcripts of the podcast episodes. You can find “ききみみ日本語” at the following links:
